ASK WHY

ASK WHY is a documentary about the youth in Maastricht who are being stereotyped and prejudiced. I find it most important that adults start communicating with the youth, as this is a way to start a mutual understanding. However, adults choose to share their opinions in the media, while direct communication towards this youth would be better. 

I documented the youth and their scene, and highlight the parts I find the most interesting. Consequently, I try to share the matter which is being viewed as a hard topic to talk about. Finally, with this series I aim to connect the viewer and the portraited youth.
